The origional recipe for this pastry comes from Maggie's (the baker) great grandmother and was found, written in the back of a Danish cookbook her mother owns.
This pastry consists of a Danish shortbread crust, homemade jam, and a lemon-coconut topping. It is sweet but with a slight tartness to it.
While the origional recipe is made with raspberry jam, other options that are readily availible for ordering are: strawberry and blueberry as well. If you want another flavor, ask Maggie and see!
