These buns are a common spring-time treat in Denmark, made for a holiday called ¨fastelavns¨ also known as carnival day, which is a holdiay that comes before Easter.
Made with a Danish milk dough and filled with a marzipan filling, Danish vanilla custard and then *optionally* a jam or chocolate of your choice. We offer these carnival buns in the classic vanilla flavor, as well as with homemade raspberry, strawberry, or blueberry jam. You can also choose your topping between: white glaze, chocolate glaze, powdered sugar, a spot of jam, or no topping at all.
